Meet "Karma"

Karma was orphaned on 7/19/05 when her dam met with a very
unfortunate accident.  She was probably a month or so old at the
time and from the Cold Springs HMA in Oregon.  Since we are the
main orphan volunteers for the Burns BLM here, she naturally
came to our place first.

Many people have commented on Karma's color; she is, we believe,
a black based silver dapple. This is a common color in Rocky Mtn.
Saddle Horses.

Here is what Karma looked like when she first arrived here:
July 2005

Later on, after her foal coat shed off, just before winter coat in:
October 2005

November 2005

Winter coat:
December 2005

Spring of 2006, almost a yearling:
May 2006 #1

May 2006 #2

Spring of 2007, almost 2 years old:
April 2007

Karma has been sold to Jill Whitt of NC. In November of 2007, she was
sent to Kitty Lauman to begin her training and to embark on her new life
with Jill! Kitty used Karma as a demo horse at the Kiger adoption before
she hauled her to Prineville. Here are some last photos I took of her:
